Sweat Equity Pay Off!

We've all heard of it, but how much can you transform a property with good old elbow grease, some basic materials, and some hard work?
Well here's a great example: John R. purchased a one-bedroom condo in the North Lynx complex that was definitely in need of some TLC:
Inoperable fireplace, old carpet, dated furniture.
Dark paint with poorly matched repair patches, cracked floor tiles.
More bad paint repairs, tired kitchen cabinets.
Old bathroom wallpaper and dated fixtures.
In a matter of a few months of "weekend warrior" hard work, John totally transformed this condo.
Other than hiring Bourne's Energy to install the propane-fired fireplace and an on-demand hot water heater, and Bisbee's Home Decor to install the carpeting; John did everything himself from refinishing the cabinet doors, to busting out the old ceramic tile bucket by bucket.
The results are extraordinary:
New gas fireplace, carpeting, paint, and furniture.
Wall repairs, fresh paint, and new flooring.
Resurfaced cabinet doors and refinished dining chairs.
No more wallpaper, fresh paint, new toilet and vanity.
We couldn't be happier for John R. and his family. He has truly transformed this little condo with a clean modern look. Now instead of working hard, they can play hard and have a great place to relax and unwind after a fun day in the mountains.
